Profile:

  • Experienced with many different flavors of Linux, including Red Hat Enterprise Server, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, and Debian.

  • Strong understanding of SUN Solaris installation and maintenance.

  • Able to install and configure and troubleshoot HP-UX and AIX.

  • Excellent knowledge of configuration and maintenance of all Microsoft operating systems.

  • Competent in the administration of VMWare Infrastructure 3.

  • Comfortable with the administration of third party products such as Veritas Netbackup, Veritas Cluster Server (VCS), Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM) Autosys, and Opsware.

  • Proficient with Novell technologies including NDS, Console One, GroupWise, and SuSE Linux.

  • Can install, and configure server applications such as Apache Web Server, MySQL, and PHP on various platforms.

  • Familiar with network monitoring software such as BMC Patrol, CA Unicenter, and Nagios.

  • Knowledge of multiple scripting languages, including PHP, JavaScript, and BASH.

  • Comfortable with standard SQL Servers, including MySQL and MsSQL.

  • Able to perform basic networking tasks such as VLAN administration on Cisco products.

  • Familiar with help desk ticketing systems such as Peregrine, Remedy, Magic Total Support, and CA Service Desk.
